Vicki Garner is a licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years’ experience as an executive in the behavioral health field. She has worked as both an Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for large organizations serving the people of Central Florida. She has developed and implemented multiple innovative programs throughout her career, including Assertive Community Treatment, the Central Receiving Center of Orange County, a First Episode Psychosis Program, Children’s Community Action Teams and Family Intervention Teams.
Vicki is a strong advocate for access to treatment for people with substance use disorders and mental illness. She has testified before the Florida legislature for funding for programs and access to care. She has presented both nationally and in Florida on a variety of topics, including specialized case management, Orlando’s Pulse tragedy response and the interoperability of electronic medical records in behavioral health. Vicki has degrees from both Indiana University and Nova Southeastern University. She is a native Hoosier and longtime resident of Orlando.
