"It is never too late."

“It is never too late. You have nothing to lose by seeking treatment and everything to lose by continuing to use. No matter what anyone has said to you or what you have told yourself, you are worthy and deserve to be happy.”

Ovie Fleites, The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health Alumni

Facility Overview

For all of its coastal beauty and vibrant flora and fauna, Florida is not immune to substance abuse problems. South Florida, in particular, is severely affected by the opioid epidemic sweeping the country.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 5,088 Floridians died from a drug overdose in 2017. A year before in 2016, one person died every two hours in South Florida due to an opioid overdose. To help combat the opioid epidemic and addiction in general, The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health Drug and Alcohol Rehab recently opened its doors in July 2019.

Serving South Florida communities and welcoming both in- and out-of-state clients, The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health Drug and Alcohol Rehab is poised to change these statistics through high-quality, personalized treatment for substance abuse. We believe that when more people seek compassionate treatment, especially in South Florida, we can help turn the tide of the opioid epidemic and drug overdose rates.

Levels of Care

Medical detox programming is the first step toward healing from addiction and cleanses the body of all traces of alcohol or drugs.

During inpatient treatment (also known as residential), clients who’ve completed detox can begin the work of recovery in a safe environment.

Partial hospitalization is a step down from intensive rehab like detox and inpatient care.

During intensive outpatient treatment, clients usually live off-site at a facility but are dedicated to preparing for life after rehab.

In outpatient programming, clients live at home or in a sober living home and commute to rehab during the week.

Outline each client’s next steps after their treatment ends, including follow-up appointments and recommendations for nearby support groups.

The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health Reviews

I can’t thank the staff enough at Palmer Lake. I was in a really bad place when I arrived there. I was at a point in my life that I knew was going nowhere, but I still chose my addiction over my family. I knew I needed help, but I didn’t care. My addiction almost cost me my family and my marriage. The whole process here was great. I loved the group therapy, it really helped me in my road to recovery. Tammi you were my absolute favorite, with all your knowledge and your stories of your own path really hit my heart like a ton of bricks. You are the absolute best and I can never thank you enough for all the things that you shared. It meant the world to me. (Please let her know or let her read this.) Emily M., my one on one therapist, thank you for all the great talks as well. You are a true blessing as well. I can never thank you enough either. (Please let her know). To the rest of the staff at Palmer Lake. You all touched my heart in a way that I can never repay you. Always so kind and willing to help at a moments notice. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. The whole process there really helped, and I know now that I have everything that it takes to lead a life of sobriety. In closing I want to say that I appreciate each and everyone of you, and although I enjoyed my time there, I hope I never have to see you again. Not in there anyway. Ha ha ha ha .
May God bless all of you and help you all to touch the lives of others as you have touched mine. Will highly recommend your place to anyone that asks.
I hope that sometime in the near future that I could come back there and just share my experience and how much it meant to me. Is that possible? God bless all of you.

I didn't look forward to the medical detox procedure, but the personnel made it manageable. They kept me safe the entire time, checked in frequently, and made adjustments when I needed them. For me, that support made all the difference.
I'm very glad I found this place. The team made me feel protected and cared for throughout the process. The group sessions and personal support were far more beneficial than I had anticipated. It was a significant milestone for me, and I left feeling stronger and more confident in my recovery.
Absolutely life-changing! Palmer Lake's staff is truly caring and goes above and beyond. I felt supported every step of the way. The environment is peaceful, and the programs are highly effective. I'm finally on the right track thanks to their assistance.
I had a fantastic expirience at Palmer Lake for drug treatment. Staff was attentive and helpful, and I'm finally sober because of their care.
Choosing The Recovery Village Palmer Lake for alcohol rehab was life-changing. I learned tools that continue to help me every day.

FAQs

Typically, intensive levels of care like detox and inpatient involve the highest costs, while outpatient programs tend to cost less because they involved fewer programming hours and medical resources.
